Potential Funding Applicants
Each year grants for funding are available for non-profit community organizations and social service groups that are involved in the delivery of preventive social services to residents in Cardston and the surrounding area. Organizations interested in receiving funding have the chance to apply each year and must meet provincial funding criteria. The grant application period opens in mid September and closes on November 15th of each year, with funding presentations being held shortly after the deadline. Decisions regarding funding are made at the December FCSS Board meeting. If your organization is considering starting a community program that is preventive based, please feel free to contact the FCSS Office to discuss the possibility of FCSS funding. They will be able to help determine if your program is eligible for FCSS funding, will help you in completing your application for funding, and will set up a date and time for you to present your program to the FCSS Board (who will ultimately decide on weather or not your program receives funding). Please don't hesitate to contact the Office if you have any questions: 403-653-5036 or terah@cardston.ca.
Agencies applying for funding are required to complete an application form and present to the Family and Community Support Services Advisory Committee. All funds must be used in the calendar year in which they were received.
Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is currently accepting funding applications for the 2025 calendar year. The deadline for application is Friday, November 15, 2024 @ 4:30pm. Applications received after this date will not be considered for funding. Please click on the link to download the 2025 Funding Application.
